History
Just over 28 Years ago Kate’s parents, Bob & Shirley Colthart, purchased their first motorhome – a 1973 Ford Transit (pictured). Such a success was their first trip away that when a fleet of 20 ex Newmans Bedford Pop-tops (pictured right) came on the market, Bob & Shirley bought them all and a new business was born!
The business soon outgrew their Moorhouse Avenue premises and in 1987 the business moved to where it remains today – 449 Ferry Road, Christchurch.
In 2002 Kate returned to NZ with husband Neil after 5 years in the UK where they both worked in the “rat race” of London – Kate as an accountant and Neil as an IT recruitment consultant. They agreed to help Bob & Shirley, who were keen to retire, to get the business ready for sale. To their surprise they fell in love with the business and the RV industry and took over the business in 2006.
