We leave the beautiful blue colours of Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown and fly west towards Milford Sound with vast areas of native forest and alpine High country farmland. Into the Fiordland National park we are surrounded by numerous hidden valleys, waterfalls and alpine lakes before we land at Milford Sound. Here you will meet your guide who will greet you with a warm smile and you will have a brief on your walk and the environment you are about to encounter. From here your guide will escort you to the start of the Milford Track to Sandfly point after a short 5min boat ride. The walk meanders alongside the cascading Arthur River through lush rainforest to Giants gate. After viewing this incredible waterfall we return to Milford Sound airport to meet our Helicopter.
On our way back we fly past jaw dropping ice shelves and enjoy an alpine landing for photo opportunities. We then return to Queenstown to conclude the tour.
